Set on a 200 hectare reserve, the owner-managed Shikwari Game Reserve is located 25 minutes' drive from Hoedspruit. This property boasts views of the Drakensberg Mountians.
The 4-star graded Shikwari suites are tucked away in the bush and decorated with colonial style furniture. Each suite has a private bathroom, seating area and a small patio. The lodge offers a shared plunge pool, verandah, a fully licensed bar, a lounge and dining room. Free WiFi is available in public areas.
The separate Pangolin Rondavels is a rustic-style self-catering camp with communal amenities. Each Pangolin rondavel is equipped with a wardrobe, dressing table, chairs, tea-and-coffee-making facilities and a small fridge with freezer. The rondavels have access to a fully-equipped kitchen, lounge area with satellite TV and traditional boma area for BBQs. Certain rondavels at Pangolin Rondavels have private bathrooms, while others have access to a shared bathroom and outdoor shower.
Guided game walks and game drive opportunities are available and visits to nearby reserves can be arranged by staff. Transfers from Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport to the lodge available at an extra cost.
The Blyde River Canyon is about 38 km away, while Pilgrims Rest and Kruger Park are about 80 km from Shikwari Game Reserve.
