The current parish was built after the 1906 earthquake, when the previous building was destroyed. The parish occupies today the place where the chapel was originally built on donated land and according to the will of Dona Dolores Pérez de Álvarez, owner of these lands. It was inaugurated again in 1912. Its modern romantic style is a sample of the religious tradition and the spiritual life of Viña del Mar.
