The Monastery of Santa Maria das Júnias is a monastery in ruins from which the church where the feast of the patron saint is celebrated every year on August 15th. This monastery dates back to an ancient pre-Romanesque hermitage, founded in the 9th century, whose implantation obeyed isolation criteria. It is located in a narrow valley, difficult to access and far from roads and inhabited places, inscribed in a grandiose landscape background.
